This top is a great staple. I have it in 2 colors and use it for everyday use . It is a great layering piece in the winter. I will also use for those cooler nights in the summer and /or fall. I only wish it came in more colors.
I wear my woolies endlessly! As a workout/hike/bike/ski/everyday wear under layer on cold days. With a cami underneath and woolie on top on not too cold days. I also wear it multiple times before washing, it takes major abuse to make this shirt stink. I've had them for about a year and a half and they've held up nicely. According to the size chart I'm just inside a size large, but am happy wit
This was my first Ibex item and it hasn't failed me yet. I am about 5'3 and I have the classic, feminine body (that seems to die out; narrow, drooping shoulders, small torso, small waist and wide hips but with a flat belly; and very long legs)
So, I ordered it in XS and it fits very well. Because of my super-short torso I can wear it as a nightshirt without it riding up and exposing the kidneys t
I'd never tried an ibex garment. Being offered these on sale helped me to try their clothing. So, glad I did. Wonderful fabric, fit, warmth. I will not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and colleagues.
I don't like smartwool tops. Too tight. Bad shape for crew neck, but they come in fashion colors? Please give us a purple red olive green gold copper. Make the great ibex woolie baselayer something we can't live without. A loyal ibex-er
I've worn my Woolies Crew at least 100 times in the last year. The color has not faded, the shape has not changed. I'm rough on everything I own, and this thing has made it through cycling tours, backpacking trips, dates and everything in between.
I have worn this several times. It is perfect as a layering piece, but could also work on its own once the weather gets warmer. It is snug, but not constricting. The length is perfect - no gaps or bare skin - even when moving around.
I'm crazy about this shirt. I have one in every color and rotate them throughout the week. Every time If I try to switch to another shirt in my wardrobe, I don't make it out the door. I rip it off and fish an Ibex out of the laundry. Pathetic I know, but this shirt deserves this kind of devotion. I wear a thin layer of wool, long underwear under this shirt during the winter or with a wool blaze
I bought one of the woolies crew tops at a sports discount store and bought another one immediately from the Ibex site. Recommended to a close friend and she also bought two. The woolies crew is very soft and warm (without feeling too warm) and washes beautifully. I usually wear large - I'm about 5'8" and around 140 lbs. Had to get the woolies crew in xl because I wanted it to fit like an ordinary
I wore one woolie top every day on an 10 day safari. I was able to wear it through dusty trips and then to dinner (with a scarf). I would swirl it around water to wash out the dust, dry it over night and wear it the next day. I wear my woolie running a lot, and it has become my favorite running top. I wear it and the Nordie whenever I can.
This was my "go to" shirt everyday on my Isle Royale canoe trip this past August. I took other long sleeve shirts, but this was by far the best. It didn't even smell after 7 days, was cool to wear on very warm days, and always looked clean. I will buy the Woolie Crew again and again. Great new colors! Thank you IBEX!
Everytime I put on my woolies top, it feels so good that I never want to take it off. Though I eventually do (sometimes 2 or 3 days later). After buying a woolies crew, I've also bought 2 woolies sleeveless tops and a woolies zip-neck. Love them all. I've used them for hiking, backpacking, cycling, xc skiing.
I'm a huge fan of wearing wool and even wear it all summer (in short sleeves and tank tops). I ride my bicycle a lot and always wear wool tops when I ride. I've recently discovered Ibex products and have fallen in love with this shirt. I love the bright colors (I've got a green one and am ordering a turquoise). I also love the fact that the fine ribbing provides a nice stretch. The shirt wash
I have 4 woolies crew shirts now. Unless it's over 90 degrees outside, I pretty much wear my woolies shirts every day...work, hiking, gardening...etc. They are so much better than polyester shirts! I'm a fan.
The crew is a gift for my mom and she is not allowed to open it until Oct 14th. However, I bought Ibex for my Dad (who has zero body fat) and he was amazed how warm he was without the bulk! I have several items of Ibex for layering top and bottom and also a jacket (with matching hat, of course). My husband takes great care of me with the Ibex surprise boxes! He is my mountaineering guide and ha
These are my favorite long sleeve tees. I wear them constantly in cool weather. I do wish there was a true white, and that the women's colors were more like the mens (not so pastel). The red ant is absolutely perfect. Please make a short sleeve version!
This is the perfect L/S tee. It can go it alone or under a sweater or jacket. It has a slim fit and is great for running and biking. It is easy to care for and does not need to be washed very often. It packs well and goes well with skirts or pants.
This shirt is awesome, and I wish I had a lot in different colors. Very comfortable and flattering. I like the length of the sleeves and the cuff, they feel comfortable and fully covering, without being bunchy or too long.
I haven't had it long enough to be able to comment on its durability, how it holds up under multiple washings, etc., but other reviewers gave me the impression that it holds
It was this top that made me an Ibex convert. Made of ultra soft and itchless merino wool, it breathes well and give you a layer of comfy warmth, whether you're enjoying outdoor winter sports, shoveling snow, or lugging your suitcase through the airport terminal to catch a flight. Doesn't get stinky like synthetics or cotton. Mine has made numerous trips through the washing machine and shows no si
The Woolies Crew is the BEST, absolutely best long underwear top you'll ever find. I wear it as a next to skin layer while skiing. It never stinks (like synthetics), is soft, has a great smooth feel to it, does not itch, and is warm. I have three of these in different colors, have washed them many times and have no problems with the quality of the material. Wears like iron.
I recently purchased this Ibex woolies crew to replace one of the many long sleeve long underwear type shirts. This is the first ibex one that I've owned and I absolutely love it! The fit on the large is perfect on me and at 5' 9" tall, the sleeves are long enough for my arms and the material doesn't feel too loose or too tight. It's very soft against the skin. I just got back from a little wal
I'm someone that is always cold. Even in the house or at work. This shirt has changed that. I wore it with a thin rain jacket working out in the garden on a cold, windy, drizzly day and was warm. I'm so impressed and in love with ibex and wool clothes now. This shirt is comfortable and fits perfect. I wish I could wear it everyday.
FIrst I want to say that I adore the color. I like the off-ness of the white. It has a vintage look to it . I am ordering a second one in this same color to have when this one wears out or goes into the working out of doors in the garden attire instead of the going to town wardrobe. It is whisper thin and great for wearing as a next to skin layer with a shirt over it. Sleeve length is perf
This is my new favorite shirt. I never write reviews but I love this shirt so much I just have to tell anyone interested in this shirt to go ahead and buy it. Money well spent. Have worn it for many days at a time and absolutely no order. Keeps me quite warm in the cool northwest weather and is very comfortable next to the skin.
I originally wanted to buy a few things from ibex because most of their clothing is manufactured in the U.S.A and that is a rarity nowadays. I bought this wollie crew for a vacation my husband and I took to New Mexico and Durango. I am 4'10'' 100lbs and the xs fit me better than I expected. The length of the torso was perfect as was the sleeves. The shirt was not itchy at all and kept me tempe
After Mom had tried and abandoned a series of thermal garments (silk, mixes and shirts from that "other" wool company) I sent her some Woolies. She loves them so much, she's wondering what she'll wear come spring. Easy, I said, and bought her a cami! I'm now wearing the chlorophyll-colored one as my new "spring" top. It drew compliments, even though ITS THERMAL UNDERWEAR!
I love this shirt. I have had mine for 2 years, and have washed it once a week, every week. It is still in great condition. I even put it in the dryer twice, and it didn't shrink an inch. It fits great, it feels fabulous...not too bulky for layering. I wish I could afford to buy 2 more!
I ordered the XS and it was way too small and tight. I usually wear XS-S in tops depending on the brand. I returned and exchanged for a medium which fits me perfectly! I love the purple color, the softness and the comfort. Excellent top. I'm excited to have more wool for hiking and climbing.
This is the best item Ibex sells. I wear a size small as a cycling layer and a medium, as a kind of light/sweater/overshirt for daily use. It's July and I'm wearing one around my neck at the moment ala a nautical sweater.
Unlike other woolens, the thin woolie never pills or really shows wear (despite near constant use).
My only regrest is that they dropped the classic, light grey color version
I am a Bergdorf Goodman Shopper. I love classic clothing that you can hand down to your daughters. I've been wearing the black base layer wooly since it was first featured on your web site and have about 8 in the colors offered.
I think this is such a great item - so well made and what a value for a wool shirt. My one wish is for more colors, purples, coral, a real red, etc.
This is a great thermal layer - so much so that I've already bought a second one in another color. It is quite thin, so it may not be as warm as some other shirts, but it is an excellent layering piece. I do have a feeling I'll be living in this during the winter months!
This is a really wonderful shirt. I bought it in December, traveled in India for several months and wore it nearly everyday. It washes well and dries very quickly. Upon returning from traveling, it's still my first choice of shirts. My only complaint is that there is some slight fraying under the sleeves, along the seam. But other than that, well worth the money!
I wore this shirt for 12 days straight backpacking, it was my bottommost layer and felt AMAZING! It was definitely the most comfortable base layer that I have! The only thing that I noticed was that towards the last few days I could notice a slight BO smell but not bad and especially for that long! I expect to be using it regularly all winter as my base layer and when I get enough funds I will be
I now have four. These are the best, especially for these extra-cool spring days when you want to be warm but not look wintery. I like the fit--not too tight, not too loose--and that the "crew" neck is wide. They go everywhere, from dressing down to dressing up. Only one teeny complaint, which is the label on this "label-free" top was not easy to remove--unless you have a professional seam-ripper
