How Do I Determine My Size?

We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:

Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

Ibex Outdoor Clothing Store
To wear as a cosy layer in the fall, around town or for camping.

Fit is a little loose. Would prefer sleeves longer with a thumb hole and the length a little longer as well. But... it is uber warm!

No better fabric than the Pez!

I was looking for a general purpose around the town jacket and got more value than I expected with the Pez Metro. This mid weight sweater jacket has replaced many of the non-wool outerwear in my wardrobe. I would buy more of these if available. Soft fabric with a nice drape, flattering cut, and durable. I can't get enough of it!.

The color and the fit

so i could be warm all winter without the weight of something more bulky..

I love the Pez Metro! Great fit, not too form fitting, nice length with pants, attractive side slits, and the high neck is very nice with either a scarf or zipped all the way up. I was sad to see that it went out of production at Ibex, but hopefully it will return someday. I purchased an XS, I weigh 105 lbs. and am 5'1" tall.

I live in the Bay Area, California, and almost everyday starts out with this jacket! I'm on the look-out for more colors!

I love, love, love the color of this jacket. It's warm and soft and cozy. I wear it out hiking and out to dinner. Practical, beautiful, comfortable.

Strong but very soft material. Great fit.
Lee B on Oct 24, 2015
Bought it for the beautiful blue-green color. It is a nice jacket, but makes me feel a bit old... wear it to work. It is a bit longer in the body than I expected.

Very stylish for a sweater and can be worn as a jacket on cooler days.

did not like cut or fabric wool blent
Kim P on May 22, 2015
Needed a lighter sweater/jacket - love the fabric, the high collar, the tunic style side slits. Good pockets. I wear to the beach, with skirts and dressy tops, and with hiking pants, too. Only problem - sleeves are too long for me, and don't fold back without showing the inside seams... but it works well anyway. I have two!

I bought a blood orange one and I loooove it - very soft and cozy but also more professional-looking than 90% of what I own. Couldn't pass up a deal on another one.
Marianna F on Apr 30, 2015
It is warm in a drafty office and has a professional appearance. I also love the blood orange color.
MARLISS D on Apr 28, 2015
A handsome and slimming cut. The fabric is heavy enough to be worn alone, and yet light enough to wear underneath a coat, preferably Ibex.
elizabeth g on Apr 13, 2015
Loved the royal purple color of this and the medium weight. The full zip was good and of course the pockets sealed the deal. I put this under a Showers Pass wind breaker and it is perfect for biking/riding the ferry to work and back. yay!

What color is black coffee? Is it brown or black?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The best way to describe the color BLACK COFFEE, is an off-black, more on the brown side of black, but not as rich a brown as espresso or chocolate. While I liked the color, most of my running and outdoor gear is pure black, or jewel tones that pair well with pure black, so the off-black color did not work well for my wardrobe.

Don't want to take it off
Great as a cardigan mid-layer or a cool weather jacket. Very nice looking, high collar and material blocks wind fairly well. Hand-warmer pockets are lined with soft material. Nice urban style, I get a lot of compliments on it. Unlike many wool products, this one is not scratchy on my neck. I got the color called Black Coffee -- it looks terrific w/a bright scarf and the funnel style neck gives roo

Good quality, well made, nice and warm. The cut is very good. Sleeves are a little too long, like others have pointed out. But I can manage it. I prefer ibex products than other brand of wool, and definitely no more fleece.

Gorgeous blue and great feel
The blue color is awesome and the feel of the sweater/jacket is sublime. It arrived right before a month ferry/road trip in March. It was the perfect weight for traveling where the environment is a bit cool so one needs a second layer but it was not bulky at all. Would purchase another a heartbeat.

beautiful jacket
The color is rich (i got the blood orange), The fit is very flattering and the sleeves are nice and long (i.e., not too short-which can be a problem for me in general). It can be dressed up a bit-clean lines and sophisticated-not too sporty. The weight is really nice, warm and cozy without being bulky. I find Ibex sizing a bit of a challenge, I wear anything from an xs to a med, depending on the cut, I got a small in this and it is perfect. I am 5'6", about 125#, with long limbs.

Never. Taking. It. Off.
i'm an elder law attorney - so not the "high powered" court room type. I've worn this to work, worn it walking on the boardwalk, lounging around the house, etc. If they weren't so much I'd probably buy one if every color. I'm 5'7 - about 130 - and 38C. The medium fits perfectly.

Very Soft
This lovely sweater-jacket is so comfortable I can wear it morning till night. Flattering & passes for dress-up with a silk neck scarf and some jewelry. The zipper pockets safely carry lipstick & a hanky -- all I need if my husband has his wallet!

You Gotta Get This Metro!
This is an amazing jacket that is not too heavy and not too light. I like the length and the color gets many compliments.

Warning though: The inside pockets have holes in them. I did not know this since other IBEX jackets I have, have inner pockets that are sewn through. My phone slid out and fortunately, was not damaged.

I have contacted customer service twice, but to no avail. I'm still waiting to hear from them about this.

Perfect!
I eyed up this item when I first saw it in the catalog. I got the cognac color is a small (5'10", 135#, 34A) and it fits perfectly. I love the Pez fabric, the tall neck and zippered pockets. I wear it as a sweater for now, but plan on using it as a coat in warmer weather. Fantastic piece
