Let’s face it: after weeks of wearing only shorts on your lower half, it’s pretty comforting to feel the soft, familiar embrace of a great pair of sweatpants. The Latitude Sweatpant is built from mid-weight Merino that performs just as well on transcontinental flights as it does lounging around the homestead.
We’ve sourced 100 percent Merino wool from New Zealand for this classic French terry knit fabric; a looped pile creates a lofty touch for the ultimate in lounge wear, and also works to pull moisture from the skin — a plus for temperature regulation and breathability.
Benefits of Wool
Wool garments offer substantially more protection from UV exposure than traditional summer fabrics, like cotton.
Wool draws moisture away from the skin and evaporates moisture, regulating body temperature in all conditions.
Ibex wool products naturally include antimicrobial properties, keeping your garment odor-free.
Wool fights off weather and dirt and prevents stains, making Ibex easy to wash and easy to keep clean.
Because Ibex is made from very small micron diameter fibers, our garments are extremely soft and comfortable.
The craftspeople who are involved in every step of the process–from the sheep, to the spinners, to the sewers–are carefully hand-selected.
Because we use wool–a natural and renewable fiber– Ibex is good for you and good for the Earth.
Ibex wool garments resist heat. They don’t hold a flame and won’t melt like synthetic fabrics and fibers.
We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:
Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

The employee / reviewer says he finds these all wool pants cooler than the old Nomad pants which were half cotton. That doesn't make any sense to me. I tried the Northwest lounge pant ( all wool ) and it is much warmer than the Nomad, which I find lighter and much more versatile. The discontinued Nomads also had a smoother face that unlike the Northwest lounge pant, have never pilled. I want to return my NWLP because of pilling and am looking for a replacement. Personally I find front pockets just add bulk, I much prefer carrying objects on side leg pockets for phone rather than front as it doesn't interfere with my stride. I'm 6' 3" 185 lbs and I sure wish you guys would add an inch to your sizes. Shorter people can always and easily hem a long cuff but adding length is much more problematic. Why don't you make a workout type pant for men with a semi-fit with a mixture of nylon for coolness and durability and cotton and or wool ?
Just to be clear, I am an Ibex employee, but I've been waiting for these pants for 2 years since I first saw the design. I love my Nomad pants and Northwest Aggressive Lounge pant but these are the best ones yet.
The French Terry fabric is the perfect weight where the pants aren't "drapy" or too "flowy". Not as warm as the Nomads, which is a good thing for every day use. They breathe well and the fit is perfect. I purchased the grey pants in size Large. I'm 6'0" tall and 190 lbs.
Besides the fact that Ibex does not offer long pant sizing and that these are shorter than industry standard, I wear a 34 length, so in a medium I'm missing 3 1/2 inches, these are way overbuilt for what I want. I do not want a sweat pant, I don't need bulky hand pockets, or an overbuilt waist band. I want something understated, black, light and lean and cool for workouts or just wearing around. One leg / side pocket is plenty for wallet or phone. Half wool plus nylon or cotton is fine, if I'm going out in the winter I can always put on 3/4 woolies underneath. I believe 5 years ago you called them Arroyo pants, please bring them or something like them back. I could get a large with a 33 inch inseam. You know, you short guys could give us tall guys a break and hem to fit. That way everybody is happy. Is that not logical ?
My husband hasn't worn anything else around the house since he received these. He says that these are his most comfortable lounge pants ever. And he wants me to order a second pair for him. At 6' 2", I was afraid these would be too short for him. But they are fine, ending about 1" above the ground in back. I got them in heather gray. We have a cat, so black is not a good color for him to wear (pet fur). I would love it, if these came in a dark heather color too.
