All About The Wool
Wool Type +
If textile construction was based solely on survival of the fittest, Ibex's Balance fabric would pummel evolution. Made of a combination of the three top performance fibers, this fabric hybrid combines the best of all worlds. Wool for breathability, durability, softness, and odor management. Lightweight spandex and nylon for strength, stretch, fit, and support. Seamless Merino Undergarments
Benefits of Wool
Wool garments offer substantially more protection from UV exposure than traditional summer fabrics, like cotton.
Wool draws moisture away from the skin and evaporates moisture, regulating body temperature in all conditions.
Ibex wool products naturally include antimicrobial properties, keeping your garment odor-free.
Wool fights off weather and dirt and prevents stains, making Ibex easy to wash and easy to keep clean.
Because Ibex is made from very small micron diameter fibers, our garments are extremely soft and comfortable.
The craftspeople who are involved in every step of the process–from the sheep, to the spinners, to the sewers–are carefully hand-selected.
Because we use wool–a natural and renewable fiber– Ibex is good for you and good for the Earth.
Ibex wool garments resist heat. They don’t hold a flame and won’t melt like synthetic fabrics and fibers.
We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:
Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

Although this says seamless my last years pair do show through when wearing with tight fitting pants at the seam leg: Do these new patterned ones have the same finish? Is Ibex planning on having a 100% merino lining or crotch in these for future item runs?
Here's something I never thought I would say: I love these boy shorts. I have not been a huge fan in the past, but these changed that. The fabric is soft with plenty of stretch, and best of all...they stay put (no "readjusting" all day long). The waist is a little higher than some boy shorts, but that is part of why I love them. Plenty of sweat absorbing wool to catch those uncomfortable drips down the low back, and the pattern on the sides is pretty enough to show off.
