Description:

The VP of Sales will play a critical role for the future success and continued growth of Ibex. We are seeking an individual who has the ability grow wholesale sales, cultivate and build relationships of the highest standard, lead a team of independent sales representatives/distributors and serve as a key member of the Ibex management team. We are seeking an individual who can build trust with key retailers and possess instant credibility amongst Ibex’s reps and distributors. Ibex believes that they have the opportunity to double their outdoor business by modestly increasing door count, continuing to increase existing door penetration/velocity and strengthening of existing trade relationships. The VP of Sales will have responsibility for all aspects of the development and execution of the wholesale/distributor growth strategy. We are looking for an inspired individual who is both accessible to the team and at the same time willing and able to make hard decisions when necessary. The ideal candidate will be able to set strategy for the business with creative, breakthrough ideas as well as possess a ‘roll your sleeves up’ attitude. The VP of Sales will need strong organizational and interpersonal skills to excel in this role. Overall we are looking for a highly motivated, do-it-yourself individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Broad Responsibilities

  • Achieve and surpass sales targets: Establish and implement strategies and processes for selling and distributing Ibex products to outdoor specialty retailers, key accounts, distributor partners and other retail channels. Provide leadership on the sales-related components of company strategy development as part of the team’s strategic planning.
  • Sales force management: Organize, recruit and train the North American sales team members to assure a productive and highly motivated field sales force. Oversee network of international distributor partners.
  • Develop and execute sales plans: Develop sales plans and forecasts for each season. Monitor accuracy of forecasts by reviewing initial plan and results from each territory/customer on an ongoing basis during the selling season. Evaluate actual results against forecast and develop corrective actions through pricing, special promotional and/or product mix strategies to return results to plan. Collaborate with product development and marketing to develop strategies to increase sales for future seasons.
  • Build key account relationships: Establish and maintain close, effective relationships with key accounts and other strategic customers in order to build the Ibex brand and increase key account penetration.
  • New Business: Evaluate and propose strategies to create new business through areas such as expansion of channels or new product categories. Work to dramatically increase the wholesale footprint of Ibex within the North American market.
  • Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing department to expand and strengthen Ibex brand presence and ensure that appropriate POS/POS and marketing resources are available to support growth initiatives.
  • Manage administrative systems: Work in conjunction with Operations and Finance teams to develop, implement and maintain an administrative system; including systems that monitor and evaluate sales leads, customer requirements and programmatic issues, such that the data can be effectively utilized by the Sales, Production, Product Development and Marketing departments.
  • Dealer service and execution: Work to utilize and coordinate the company’s cross functional resources (Customer Service, Warranty, Warehouse, Product Development, Marketing and IT) to enhance customer relationships and build business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership contributing to growth and profitability goals
  • Build annual sales goals and forecasts
  • Establish performance metrics for all sales territories
  • Manage sales representatives, retain representatives where appropriate and replace in territories where necessary
  • Provide customer insights across the company to inform all aspects of Ibex’s business strategy
  • Provide strategic guidance on pursuing new distribution channels and product development opportunities
  • Actively leverage knowledge of competitors and customers to enhance competitiveness and ability to accelerate business growth
  • Conduct consumer and competitive research to provide insight and inputs to strategy
  • Travel to key accounts and exhibit at trade shows

Skills and experience necessary for this role:

  • 10+ years of professional work experience, primarily in sales/sales management role or product management of technical/casual apparel. Experience with outdoor industry a plus.
  • Proven track record of achievement in delivering profitable growth in an apparel company. Has passion for Ibex, apparel and an active lifestyle.
  • Must be proficient in data analysis and have outstanding interpretative skills.
  • Highly analytical with ability for making data-driven decisions; disciplined in making ROI-driven decisions.
  • Puts customer/consumer first – fundamentally oriented to and governed by the needs of the customer.
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, with its fast pace and continual change; comfortable delivering results with a small, lean team.
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • BA or equivalent is required. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation:

The VP of Sales will be compensated with a competitive base salary component commensurate with their experience.Full time employees are eligible to participate in all employee benefits, including: Paid vacation time, paid sick time, 401(k) Plan, health, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance. Men’s Clothing Fit Model - Ibex Headquarters - WRJ, VT

Position Summary:

We are looking for an athletic, conditioned, well- proportioned size 8 for a fit model. The fit model will try on clothing prototypes for styling, proportion and fit evaluation. Candidates should have the ability to clearly articulate perceptions of how clothing fits and be comfortable giving feedback. The apparel being fit will range from base layer to outerwear. Model must have and maintain the following measurements in each of the areas listed below.

Measurement Requirements:

  • Wear men’s size 34/L in tops and bottoms
  • Height: 6’
  • Chest – 42” – 43” (measured around body, across bust with arms down at side)
  • Waist – 35” – 36” (measured around body at natural waist)
  • Hip – 41 ½” – 42 ½” (measured around body at widest point on hips)
  • Sleeve Length – 34 ½” – 35” (measured from center back to shoulder bone to wrist bone)
  • Neck 16 ½” – 17” (measured around neck at Adam’s apple)

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be comfortable modeling apparel products in front of a group including both male and female professionals
  • Must possess ability to remain still and calm while technician touches, pins, or cuts sample while on model’s body
  • Must be punctual and reliable for fit sessions
  • Must love dogs!

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

This is a part time position. Average time on job is 2 – 4 hours per week (The number of hours/ days are dependent on weekly sample receipts). There will be times when the fit model will be required for longer periods of time ( ie: all day meetings). Flexibility required.
