How Do I Determine My Size?

We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:

Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

My husband loves these knickers for winter cycling.
Anne M on Aug 5, 2016
I wanted to try these tights for a couple years. They are the most comfortable pair of tights I have worn. They regulate cool and heat better than my synthetic clothing. I thought I'd be wearing these pants for the majority of the year in Anchorage but the last couple summer have been warm in the high 70's to 80's. I have found I like wearing them in the 50's and below. I would buy these again and i probably will because the price just dropped below $50.

I have one pair of El Fitos and 2 of the bib versions and wear them throughout the winter in the Pacific Northwest. They are perfect for riding in our rainy, cool conditions during my daily commute. Not the most comfortable chamois when compared to my regular riding shorts, but more than adequate for 25 mile days.
Dale R on Jul 26, 2016
Always wanted a pair, and the sale allowed me to justify purchase. Full price is too much in my opinion.

Stocking up on my favorite bike shorts. I commute year round and these are the best.

I like my Ibex cycling shorts, and like knickers for cycling in cooler weather.

I live in northern California on the coast were the weather is wet and foggy. That is why i own four pair of these El Fito 3/4. They are so versatile weather wise that i wear then all year around. That's the miracle of wool. I heard a rumor that they are going to discontinue this item. I think they are making a mistake.
Scott J on Jul 23, 2016
I love these bike tights. I already have a pair. They fit great.

Neil C on Jul 13, 2016
Great price, good product (I have another version of same.) Also, it has the modest but readily identifiable Ibex logo, rather than loud splashy Tommy-Hilfiger-like brand name on it, the latter of which I detest in cycling clothing.
Robert R on Jul 12, 2016
I have purchased other tights from IBEX before and I really like them. Also, the terrific close-out price made me jump on it

Last (current) El Fito knickers are great. Long wearing, comfortable, warm in the rain. Hoping these will be at least as good.

As comfortable as any pair of shorts. Never feels like it restricts my movement unlike many tights I've tried. These plus Ibex leg warmers when it's below 40 degrees (F) make a great combo

Is the cycling pad removable on this pant?
A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: no, but if you took a seam cutter, you could remove it.
what size for 6' 170 lb lean(ish) rider? Legs are pretty lean.
Neil C on Jun 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I am 6ft, 182lb with muscular legs that women say are fantastic.
I bought a large size and it fits a little loose but is very comfortable.
With lean legs, a medium size would probably fit very will.
Good luck
On the margin - My waist is 31", but I have some M size legwarmers and they are a bit loose in the calves. Not too loose, but not skin tight, just a wee bit loose. Do you think I should get S or M on this El Fito knicker?
Rick R on Feb 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have large in both the el Fito and the leg warmers and they both fit fine so I'd say go with the medium.

On another matter I find it pretty cheeky that Ibex seem to ignore my emails yet then ask me to answer another customer's question. I wish their customer service was as good as their products.
What size for a 6'4 180lb man? I am between a size 32 and 34 waist.
Mike F on Aug 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, I would suggest a large which has a 28 1/4 relaxed waist that extends to 35 3/4.

Essential piece to have in the arsenal
This product was an addition to my growing array of cycling apparel. I own the Ibex shorts and Ibex leg warmers. I spend a lot of time in the saddle and value quality gear (you get what you pay for is my motto). These filled a niche in my arsenal for temps ranging from low-40 to mid-50's. I am 6'0" 145 lbs, and purchased the small. It's my thought that the grippers are supposed to hit mid calf and

Invaluable piece of commuting gear
Went to the Boston store to buy arm & knee warmers, these caught my eye. I tried them on, perfect fit for me 5'7", 160 lbs., the medium fit perfectly, no Euro-sausage look.

I've used them in up to 62 and down to 42 degrees, they've kept me cool enough and warm enough. The use of spandex in the seat & leg backs and wind resistance makes this knicker wonderfully versatile.

The chamois is also idea

Wow. Just excellent
These things are perfect - just the right looseness and length at the knee to prevent any binding when pedaling, pad is perfect thickness and density (and kills microbes to boot), wind resistance is great, they are more modest than shiny lycra due to the flat finish, fit is fantastic.

Shoulder season coverage for your knees
I have wanted a pair of these 3/4's for a couple of years, and finally splurged. I'm glad that I did too, because these El Fito's help bridge the gap between the really cold weather and the warmer stuff.

They have a lot of give in the fabric, so range of motion is great, and they don't move around. The grippy bottom cuffs stay put.

I'm 5'10", 165 lbs, with a 33" waist. The Medium is a perfect

We love our ELFitos
The Ibex el fit has been a wonderful cycling pants and appropriate for about 2/3 of the days here in the Pacific Northwest. THE waist elastic gave out after a couple of years but replaced cheerfully by Ibex.I also bought a pair for my wife who also loves them

my regular cycling togs
As I've always believed in keeping my knees warm, I've found the El Fito 3/4 to be the best cycling 'short' available; in brief, this garment is best overall, for me. Despite any rumors to the contrary, the El Fito 3/4 is not too hot in most climates, IMHO. The only negative would be the elastic bands below the knee, which have tended, for me, to disintegrate with use over time. I would hope that my input here (and from others) would add some incentive for Ibex to continue with their efforts making quality improvement here.

El Fito knickers
This is my 3rd pair of these. I live in the Northwest, rainy and cool like 9 months of the year. These are just perfect for that type of weather. even warm when wet. Why are they going to stop making them? I have no clue, makes no sense to me,,,,,

Great 3-season go-to
I just got in to cycling around the rainy PNW so I don't know a ton about cycling gear. That being said, I know Ibex quality and when I decided to get into the sport I knew I couldn't go wrong with their gear. Since these were my first cycling clothing purchase, I decided to go with something that could be a great 3-season piece and I'm glad I did. These breath amazingly and I have yet to over-hea
