How Do I Determine My Size?

We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:

Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

As comfortable as any pair of shorts. Never feels like it restricts my movement unlike many tights I've tried. These plus Ibex leg warmers when it's below 40 degrees (F) make a great combo

I have a pair of these and have been very pleased with them. The close out price is very attractive.

Like the 3/4 length for soring and fall cycling.
Christine B on May 21, 2016
I have an old pair lacking the more durable material around the seat and inner thighs, so annoying pilling on one inner thigh. Tried some other wool knickers: Giro Bib Undershort (same price but requires outer layer) & Kitsbow Base Short (nearly twice as expensive!). Both are nice, but my old Ibex fit better & has thicker material with higher wool content, so temperature range covered was superior. So I am back for another pair as Ibex has addressed design issue to avoid pilling.

for sale price I'll try a new product
Neil B on May 20, 2016
Need some cycling tights & these were the highest quality and the cheapest.
Mark B on May 20, 2016
I've had other bottoms, but I keep coming back to my El Fitos. I do a lot of bikepacking, and wool is a wonderful thing when camping for days on end. I wouldn't say they are the most robust, since I've had the chamois stiching rip out on a different pair - but, I'm pretty hard on equipment. That being said, they are a great pair of knickers/bottoms.
Steven J on May 15, 2016
Perfect for shoulder season outings or under a pant for deep winter missions.
Tex on May 3, 2016
I love my Ibex knee warmers (Merino with windproof climawool front) for rides down even into the upper 30's, and my (straight up Merino) Ibex leg warmers. These will be a great addition to my chilly weather cycling kit.
Paul on Apr 13, 2016
High quality, spring/fall weight cycling gear highly recommended by other users.
Gil L on Apr 10, 2016
Covers the knees, a warmer short for cool weather. I have an older Ibex cycling short combined with knee warmers for cool weather, this El Fito is one piece.
Graham C on Apr 9, 2016
Last pear wore out. Great cold weather gear, super comfortable.
Robert M on Apr 8, 2016
Love merino wool shorts (bought a bunch of Icebreaker before they discontinued cycling gear) and need a couple of ¾ for winter. I've bought Ibex leg-warmers in the past and like those too but with ¾ you don't have to mess around with multiple garments.

This will be my 6th pair of these knickers. What can I say? I like them....
Greg H on Apr 8, 2016
I have full length model and they're great. Long-lasting.

When riding or running in cool weather the knickers help keep my knees warm and still allow my lower legs to breathe.

Great mtb riding pants for most of the year in Oregon. Very breathable, keeps your knees warm, regardless of a little wet your still warm.
3/4 length with protects from the random fall in the mud and sticks or snag of a blackberry bush.

with a pair of long socks these things can get you through a lot of weather. I'm tall and thin(32.5x32.5) 6'1" 170lbs i wear the mediums.
Christopher S on Feb 14, 2016
Looks nice with leather boots

Is the cycling pad removable on this pant?
A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: no, but if you took a seam cutter, you could remove it.
On the margin - My waist is 31", but I have some M size legwarmers and they are a bit loose in the calves. Not too loose, but not skin tight, just a wee bit loose. Do you think I should get S or M on this El Fito knicker?
Rick R on Feb 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have large in both the el Fito and the leg warmers and they both fit fine so I'd say go with the medium.

On another matter I find it pretty cheeky that Ibex seem to ignore my emails yet then ask me to answer another customer's question. I wish their customer service was as good as their products.

Essential piece to have in the arsenal
This product was an addition to my growing array of cycling apparel. I own the Ibex shorts and Ibex leg warmers. I spend a lot of time in the saddle and value quality gear (you get what you pay for is my motto). These filled a niche in my arsenal for temps ranging from low-40 to mid-50's. I am 6'0" 145 lbs, and purchased the small. It's my thought that the grippers are supposed to hit mid calf and

Invaluable piece of commuting gear
Went to the Boston store to buy arm & knee warmers, these caught my eye. I tried them on, perfect fit for me 5'7", 160 lbs., the medium fit perfectly, no Euro-sausage look.

I've used them in up to 62 and down to 42 degrees, they've kept me cool enough and warm enough. The use of spandex in the seat & leg backs and wind resistance makes this knicker wonderfully versatile.

The chamois is also idea

Great 3-season go-to
I just got in to cycling around the rainy PNW so I don't know a ton about cycling gear. That being said, I know Ibex quality and when I decided to get into the sport I knew I couldn't go wrong with their gear. Since these were my first cycling clothing purchase, I decided to go with something that could be a great 3-season piece and I'm glad I did. These breath amazingly and I have yet to over-hea

Shoulder season coverage for your knees
I have wanted a pair of these 3/4's for a couple of years, and finally splurged. I'm glad that I did too, because these El Fito's help bridge the gap between the really cold weather and the warmer stuff.

They have a lot of give in the fabric, so range of motion is great, and they don't move around. The grippy bottom cuffs stay put.

I'm 5'10", 165 lbs, with a 33" waist. The Medium is a perfect

Absolutely the best
I hadn't expected to get to use these until later in the year but it was pretty cool here Saturday morning so I decided to wear these for a 70k trail ride...

Outstanding - they kept me nice and warm at the start of my ride. And even though the day had warmed up quite a bit by the time I finished these shorts didn't make me feel too hot. Chamois seems to perform well too!

Added bonus - looking

El Fito knickers
This is my 3rd pair of these. I live in the Northwest, rainy and cool like 9 months of the year. These are just perfect for that type of weather. even warm when wet. Why are they going to stop making them? I have no clue, makes no sense to me,,,,,

Wow. Just excellent
These things are perfect - just the right looseness and length at the knee to prevent any binding when pedaling, pad is perfect thickness and density (and kills microbes to boot), wind resistance is great, they are more modest than shiny lycra due to the flat finish, fit is fantastic.
