Don’t tell us we didn’t warn you: Once you put the Axiom Undershirt on, you’re never going to want to wear any other. Made from lightweight Merino with a hint of spandex for stretch, you’re going to want to stock the underwear drawer with a number of these. It’s time to upgrade your undershirt game.
Merino wool, blended with just a touch of spandex, creates a fabric that’s smooth, lightweight, and super soft — perfect for next-to-the-skin comfort. We’ve used a chemical-free finish that gives the fabric a slight sheen and cool-to-the-touch feel. This will stretch without sagging, support without pinching, and perform without exception.
Benefits of Wool
Wool garments offer substantially more protection from UV exposure than traditional summer fabrics, like cotton.
Wool draws moisture away from the skin and evaporates moisture, regulating body temperature in all conditions.
Ibex wool products naturally include antimicrobial properties, keeping your garment odor-free.
Wool fights off weather and dirt and prevents stains, making Ibex easy to wash and easy to keep clean.
Because Ibex is made from very small micron diameter fibers, our garments are extremely soft and comfortable.
The craftspeople who are involved in every step of the process–from the sheep, to the spinners, to the sewers–are carefully hand-selected.
Because we use wool–a natural and renewable fiber– Ibex is good for you and good for the Earth.
Ibex wool garments resist heat. They don’t hold a flame and won’t melt like synthetic fabrics and fibers.
We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:
Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

This shirt fits me quite well for an undershirt – fits close without being form-fitting and sticking in my underarms, and this shirt works great. I’m 5'9" and 150lbs and the Small fits me well, like most Ibex shirts. Can’t comment on durability, since I’ve only worn it maybe nine times so far. I can say that it’s comfortable, fresh-smelling, and still feels great after wearing it three days in a row under a button-down at my desk job…
I love the natural-looking birch color and only wish it were made in a v-neck!
Super soft and slim-fitting so it doesn't get in the way underneath a button down shirt. I also like how the birch color is as close to white as merino can get (which naturally has an Earthy tone to it), so you can pair it with anything but an ultra-white dress shirt. Love having a layer of merino on even when I need to wear a suit on the rare occasion.
It's decent, but it has so much lycra/stretch that it doesn't feel like wool. I would prefer just a plain white, wool T. I love the Essential T, much more comfortable in my opinion, but not available in white.
