All About The Wool
Wool Type +
Smooth and comfortable, Overdyed Heather fabric is an evolution of our 18.5 micron jersey fabric made softer by the overdying technique. With a weathered look signature of the process, OD fabrics are used through Ibex casual Live line.
Benefits of Wool
Wool garments offer substantially more protection from UV exposure than traditional summer fabrics, like cotton.
Wool draws moisture away from the skin and evaporates moisture, regulating body temperature in all conditions.
Ibex wool products naturally include antimicrobial properties, keeping your garment odor-free.
Wool fights off weather and dirt and prevents stains, making Ibex easy to wash and easy to keep clean.
Because Ibex is made from very small micron diameter fibers, our garments are extremely soft and comfortable.
The craftspeople who are involved in every step of the process–from the sheep, to the spinners, to the sewers–are carefully hand-selected.
Because we use wool–a natural and renewable fiber– Ibex is good for you and good for the Earth.
Ibex wool garments resist heat. They don’t hold a flame and won’t melt like synthetic fabrics and fibers.
We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:
Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

I was so pleased when I saw this new style, and when it arrived, the fabric was as wonderful as expected. But as another reviewer has noticed, the twisted straps seemed designed to expose bra straps. Not appropriate for the workplace, and I had to send it back.
I love the color and the fabric, so I really wanted to like the dress. Unfortunately it had some problems:
* weird gapping at the front of the armhole (different from how anything else has gapped on me, as far as I can remember) * the pretty twist and opening at the back seem designed to show your bra straps * this is the part that really strikes me as bad design: the size and care instruction tags were so thoughtlessly placed that one of the tags actually hangs down into the "keyhole" area on the back.
This was not a good introduction to Ibex clothing for me, sadly. But I did like the other item I ordered, a shirt, and I'll be keeping that.
This is a very light weight dress that fits beautifully and is very multi-functional. It's a great layering piece and the back twists actually cover my bra straps perfectly. I will use this traveling in Europe this summer as both a sleep dress (it's that lightweight and stretchy) and have it double as a travel dress when needed.
