How Do I Determine My Size?

We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:

Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

I love my Woolies-- I have 4 150s in black, juniper & blue and 2 heavier weights (220s) in orange and black! I wear them all winter long-- with jeans, with skirts, with my Izzy tavern pants and for running! They dress up and down and are always appropriate!

Favorite go to base layer top. LOVE the cuffs, they add extra warmth in a crucial and often overlooked place.

This is a gift for my daughter who is working on a sustainable farm in northern california. I thought this would be a nice addition in the winter months.

I bought one for my husband to keep warm this winter. Now I want one too so I can also stay warm! We keep our thermostat low to save on oil and anything that will help conserve body heat is worth the money....especially when on sale! Now he has a Christmas present for me.
Skowronsky K on Sep 28, 2015
Love this as a base layer. Would not wear on it's own as slightly see through. I wear it snow machining, XC skiing and for fun under the Shak Spire hoodie. The length is good for torso and sleeves. Drapes nicely, fabric awesome, craftsmanship great - 5'7", 125 lb , size small.
Rhonda S on Sep 25, 2015
Lost my Ibex base layer on a grand adventure somewhere and missed it so I had to pick up a new one.

i have the woolies 150 bottoms and they are just right. i thought it might be nice to have wool base layer for on top just to get ready for the cold minnesota winter.
Mai H on Aug 30, 2015
I wear this every day just ordered my second. So far It's been my best base layer year round. Skinning, skiing, mountain biking, river guiding. I wear it when it's raining and it still holds warmth. Doesn't smell and looks nice!
Elizabeth S on Aug 26, 2015
Love every Ibex purchase I have made, great sale price, nice neutral color.

It's a great basic layer. Black goes with everything, and my daughters will receive these as gifts.

Great form, fit perfectly and fabric is soft and stretchy. I would have loved to get it in more vibrant colors.
Lienha C on Aug 21, 2015
I was looking for a wool baselayer and because it is so versatile, I ordered another one.
Constanze D on Aug 18, 2015
Woolies are the most comfortable, versatile, well-made merino base layers I have ever worn.
Katherine M on Aug 15, 2015
Like the item and now have to wear black or white under our nursing uniforms. It gets cold in SD so these work well in the winter under scrubs.

I have a microweight long sleeve crew that I use often and finally need a replacement. I like it as a light layering piece but can be worn alone for a thin warm layer.

I have a similar under layer in another brand. I use it constantly in winter, and I am hoping to get just as much use out Ibex's version.

I bought this before and really like the softness and fit
Susan D on Jun 24, 2015
I have a similar top that I've worn out after several years of running, biking, and skiing in Scandinavia. It's absolutely perfect as a base layer late October through April and as a primary layer May through, well, all summer long up here.
Anne H on May 24, 2015
Wool base layers can't fail!

Reward Wollie Users With More Hip Colors
I am a Bergdorf Goodman Shopper. I love classic clothing that you can hand down to your daughters. I've been wearing the black base layer wooly since it was first featured on your web site and have about
8 in the colors offered.

I think this is such a great item - so well made and what a value for a wool shirt. My one wish is for more colors, purples, coral, a real red, etc.

Base layer not so Base
It is so attractive, I use it as sweater rather than underwear. It is a bit long for me

stands up to anything
I wore one woolie top every day on an 10 day safari. I was able to wear it through dusty trips and then to dinner (with a scarf). I would swirl it around water to wash out the dust, dry it over night and wear it the next day. I wear my woolie running a lot, and it has become my favorite running top. I wear it and the Nordie whenever I can.

Lovely but runs small
I ordered the XS and it was way too small and tight. I usually wear XS-S in tops depending on the brand. I returned and exchanged for a medium which fits me perfectly! I love the purple color, the softness and the comfort. Excellent top. I'm excited to have more wool for hiking and climbing.

Warm base layer
I wear this a lot as a baselayer on a cold day, especially for skiing. Great fit throughout. I'm 5'9" 150 lb, 34DD and M fits perfect. It's long enough!

The Perfect Shirt!!
This top is a great staple. I have it in 2 colors and use it for everyday use . It is a great layering piece in the winter. I will also use for those cooler nights in the summer and /or fall. I only wish it came in more colors.

great next to skin piece
I wear my woolies endlessly! As a workout/hike/bike/ski/everyday wear under layer on cold days. With a cami underneath and woolie on top on not too cold days. I also wear it multiple times before washing, it takes major abuse to make this shirt stink. I've had them for about a year and a half and they've held up nicely. According to the size chart I'm just inside a size large, but am happy wit

A winter must.
The most worm item of clothing in my wardrobe.
December 13, 2010
great as a nightshirt
This was my first Ibex item and it hasn't failed me yet. I am about 5'3 and I have the classic, feminine body (that seems to die out; narrow, drooping shoulders, small torso, small waist and wide hips but with a flat belly; and very long legs)

So, I ordered it in XS and it fits very well. Because of my super-short torso I can wear it as a nightshirt without it riding up and exposing the kidneys t

Well Made, Warm, Nice Fit
I'd never tried an ibex garment. Being offered these on sale helped me to try their clothing. So, glad I did. Wonderful fabric, fit, warmth. I will not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and colleagues.
