All About The Wool
Wool Type +
The same combination of fibers a the Climawool Lite (nylon, wool, Lycra®) only the nylon on this fabric is the stronger Cordura. The fabric is double woven and a bit tighter. It's built not only for high performance but also for increased durability and warmth for those activities that take you to harsher conditions. Machine washable.
Benefits of Wool
Wool garments offer substantially more protection from UV exposure than traditional summer fabrics, like cotton.
Wool draws moisture away from the skin and evaporates moisture, regulating body temperature in all conditions.
Ibex wool products naturally include antimicrobial properties, keeping your garment odor-free.
Wool fights off weather and dirt and prevents stains, making Ibex easy to wash and easy to keep clean.
Because Ibex is made from very small micron diameter fibers, our garments are extremely soft and comfortable.
The craftspeople who are involved in every step of the process–from the sheep, to the spinners, to the sewers–are carefully hand-selected.
Because we use wool–a natural and renewable fiber– Ibex is good for you and good for the Earth.
Ibex wool garments resist heat. They don’t hold a flame and won’t melt like synthetic fabrics and fibers.
We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:
Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

This is a nice looking soft shell that gives you more water-/wind-resistance than fleece and more warmth and breathability than a "hard" shell, alone. It's very versatile and good-looking so I'm certain you'll grab it for everything from errands to walking the dog. The one caveat that always comes up with any shell is apparent here, also and that is one of "give" in the fit. Of all Ibex garments,
I love, love, love my Tuck vest so when the jacket went on sale I jumped. Unfortunately I had to return it because the sleeves were just too short for me. I'm tall at 5'10" and 150ish lbs and have a decent 'wingspan' but Ibex large usually does well for me. The body of the jacket fit well and all the other features I adore about the vest (wool lined softshell, breaths well but very water repellent
