How Do I Determine My Size?

We recommend a general body measurement guide to determine your size in Ibex clothing. This sizing chart is not garment specific, but in fact a body measurement chart. Here are some helpful hints when measuring:

Bust/Chest: relax arms at sides, keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust/chest
Waist: keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose, measure around your natural waistline
Hips: standing with heels together, keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of hips
Sleeve Length: a 3-point measurement, standing with arms relaxed and slightly bent at sides, measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist bone, add together measurements
Form-fit: garment designed to fit snug to the body throughout
Semi-fit: garment will be contoured to the body
Regular-fit: garment will not be slim, but also not oversized
Relaxed-fit: garment drapes loosely on body

For summer biking - prefer an orange or bright pink to always wearing the flouro green bike shirts. The merino wool, washability, and anti-stinky factors a big plus.

want a shirt for running that doesn't stink! I have heard that wool is the best for no odor. I have a ibex long sleeve I use for winter sports and have never had odor issues

I buy these to wear while exercising. I size up for a loose fit. Even with profuse sweating, they last for years without stinking.

I've replaced all the nylon "performance" t-shirts that are handed out at running events, as they have serious body odor issues for me. The W2 sport T was the perfect solution. Occasionally I'll tuck one under my bicycling shirt as a base layer for cooler winter cycling in southern California. No matter what the temperature, the W2 seems to help me regulate my termperature perfectly.

These lightweight slim tops are perfect for contra dancing, both winter and summer. They stay in place, breathe, don't get clammy, and don't smell. I particularly like the cap sleeve on this shirt.

This is a gorgeous little fitted top, very lightweight, fine fabric. I buy this style in XS, even though I usually wear small in Ibex tops, because the fit is so beautiful.

I always need more base layers! Plus even though it's more towards athletic wear, all of Ibex's base layers look nice enough to walk around Boston on a warm summer day

Workout clothing. I stay in a hotel for 11 days at a time. I work out every day and I hand-wash my workout clothing before I take a shower in the morning. I have a problem with the clothing not drying all the way, before my next day's workout, and the clothing beginning to smell. Wool clothing is supposed to fight odor. I think.
Teresa E on Sep 24, 2015
Great running shirt. Not too hot when the weather is warm, but provides more comfort when the weather is almost too cool for short sleeves (I live in RI on the coast now). Also, no stink! I have more than one of these tops and they are a go to in the fall for running, and as a base layer for running and snow skiing.

What is the length of this T-shirt?
Vivian S on Jun 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, the W2 Sport T in an XS is 18.5 inches in the front and 22 1/4 in the back. It goes up a half inch per size.
Do the W2 Sports T's run small? By your sizing chart i would take a small but typically in t-shirts I take a medium. I wear a size 4 and sometimes a 6 but if that is a narrow cut
A shopper on Aug 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear a size 8 top, and usually buy small for next to body layer. My first purchase of this T shirt, I got one in a small and one in a medium (2014 season). It works fine in both sizes. It is according to how you want it to fit. I prefer the small as it hugs my body better. When they went on sale this year, I got 2 more (in Small).
I would say they run true to size. Obviously, because I have 4 of them, it is a favorite item.
Do your sizes run large or small on this shirt?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It depends on what you are comparing it to. The first thing I bought from Ibex was a Woolies zip long sleeve. The small was too small. The medium is perfect--semi fitted. So I bought this shirt in a medium and it is way too big, almost to the point of sloppy. I am surprised to see that this shirt is supposed to be semi fitted.
Will this shirt ever be available in the Iris color?
Liz K on Apr 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello thank you for your question. At this time no it won't be available in the Iris color. We do have it in Lilac. Maybe in the near future they will make it in Iris. Thanks.
Which color matches the blue running shorts? Or is this color gone, now?
A shopper on Apr 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the Pulse Runner shorts come in the color called Iris and we have several tanks and short sleeves in this color as well.

You can filter by color so click on the purple box and it'll show you the choices!
Can I dry this shirt in the dryer? I can't make out the symbols. I know it is machine washable but am wondering about drying instructions.
A shopper on Jul 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello we recommend you don't dry this shirt. Hang or lay flat to dry.

Thru hike shirt
I bought this as my primary daily wear shirt to thru hike the Pacific Crest Trail last summer. That's 2660 miles through pretty extreme heat and cold, sometimes in the same day. This shirt held up incredibly well, and it has almost no signs of wear! Also, it was fantastic at (almost) masking the fact that before arriving in a town, I hadn't showered in a week, after putting in dozens of hard-won miles in the backcountry. Breathed, cleaned, and dried well. Love it!

Good with limitation
I own four shirts in this fabric (two of these Tees and two of the tanks). The cut and the colors are great, and the feel of the fabric is just delicious. However. However. Sigh. The funk factor is high. In fact, I'd say these shirts get funked up about as quickly as a basic polyester tech shirt. I was surprised because there's an awful lot of wool in there, and I don't have any funk issues with the full-wool shirts. [Wicking is another matte . . . .] These shirts, however, seem to have become permanently stinky after about five runs. They may be more functional for hiking, but I'm not going to buy any more of them for running.

Nice weight fabric.
I was afraid this shirt would not fit me because many t shirts are very fitted. I am able to squeak by with an xl. I would like it if the shirt was about 1 inch longer. I found another company which has longer t shirts and also has xxl and some xxxl. I wish ibex would have more size choices. Over all I am happy with the shirt. Merino wool is so much more comfortable than polyester or nylon. Washes great.

Perfect summer T
I have a lot of Ibex cold-weather garments, but have been very happy with my new light-weight T. The violet color is gorgeous, and the seaming details are beautifully designed. I thought I didn't need this and waited until it was on sale, but now I'm even wearing it under another light-weight pullover sweater for fall, where it fills in a v-neckline with a shot of color and makes the other sweater more comfortable. It's a very versatile piece.

My new favorite top for everything
This is my first Ibex product and I was intrigued by the idea of a lightweight wool top. Turns out it is more comfortable, more versatile, and weighs less than my synthetic tops and other lightweight wool tops. I wear it for running, hiking, backpacking, and anything outdoors.

I love this top because it is really comfortable, dries more quickly than other lightweight pure wool tops, is still soft

Good indoor/outdoor workout shirt
This shirt is comfortable and fits through the shoulders to allow movement. Nonstink and not too hot for workouts, even in the humid summer. The weight of the fabric means that the shirt is slightly sheer, so if you do need to pay attention to bra color if that bothers you. I wish the shirt were a tad longer, but otherwise I'm quite happy with it

Attractive, comfortable, nice fit
I'm 5'1", fit & weigh 5-10lb over an ideal weight, meaning trim athletic cuts aren't flattering on me. On top of that, standard T's are often too long in the body or sleeve. This lightweight and good looking T-shirt fits me great in L. In streetwear I usually wear PM. I'm using it for bicycling and casual wear in the summer and envision it as great for layering in cooler weather.
